The Department of Social Work offers the post graduate degree with two specializations,
i.e.

• Personnel Management and Industrial Relations
• Medical and Psychiatric.

The students are encouraged to choose any one of them from their II semester onwards. In order to help the students to choose their specialization, the department provides orientation visits to various Government and private organizations. 

The students of MSW are equipped to appreciate the emerging needs of the society and to devise strategies to overcome the challenges posed by the social environment. The programme aims to organize professional activities directed at improving human and social conditions and alleviating human distress and mitigating social problems.
