CULINARY CLUB
Culinary Club was established in the year 2015 by the Department of Catering Science and Hotel Management. The focus of the Club is to provide an environment for the Club Members of any discipline who are passionate in "The Art of Cooking" to socialize, learn culinary art, accept challenges in preparation, involve them in competitions, participate in other related activities and much more to have fun along with learning. The Club, mentored by elegant personalities from the Chef Fraternity, continuously organizes programmes on cookery and prepares food for the frolic nights. AJK Culinary Club organised a Virtual Payasam making competition from 12th to 18th August 2021. Many participants took part in the competition. P Haseena Begum from Chennai won the first prize and Avanthika Nagalakshmi from Coimbatore won the second prize . All the participants were given participation certificates .
OBJECTIVES
- Provide a platform for enthusiastic food savvy people including budding Chefs to exhibit their culinary skills.
- Setting up an ideal environment where the Members can learn from the Maestros in the field.
- Give an opportunity to challenge organizational skills like planning, costing, controlling etc. and also to learn to be an effective team Member.
- Offering a great chance for the Members to get involved in various activities where the most needy people in society are been catered.
