BIOTECHNOLOGY LAB
The Biotechnology laboratory is well equipped with the state of the art modern equipments like PCR, Spectrophotometer, Western and Southern blotting apparatus, Chromatography and Gel Electrophoresis units, etc. This enables the students to carry out their experiments and research activities in a better way.
Lab I - Molecular Biology Lab is arranged well to carry out the isolation/purification and analysis of microorganisms, DNA extraction and analysis from plants, animals and microbes and PCR, Chromatography experiments etc.
Lab II - Biochemistry lab is organized to do experiments related to immunology, Biochemistry and Bioinstrumentation.
ELECTRONICS LAB
Electronics Lab has the facility to study the Digital & Linear IC Training Process, signal Generator, Fiber Optic Trainer Kit, 8051 Micro Controller kits with PC Interface, Power Meter, Analog Devices DSP Kits ADSP2181, and Digital Multimeter. It involves to student enrichment and research knowledge in the Electronics filed. System design and simulation exercises using the MATLAB and Simulink and experiments based on HW boards.
VISUAL COMMUNICATION LAB
AJKCAS Visual Communication Studio is a place where students get hands-on training on Television / Film production in state-of-the-art facilities.
The Laboratories have the following facilities:
- Shooting Floor with Green Mat with Professional Lighting Equipment.
- Audio Studio for Dubbing, Music Composing, SFX Creation and Stereo Mixing.
- Editing Studio with Mac System and Final Cut Pro Software for Editing, Titling and Colour Grading
- Graphic Designing Lab for 2D & 3D Designing & Animation.
The Visual Communication Studio also offers support to faculty members to capture video lectures or create e-contents for Lecture Capture System (LCS).
COSTUME DESIGN LAB
Pattern making laboratory is equipped with mannequins, and dress forms of all sizes, that enables students to practice a various patterns. The Garment construction laboratory is equipped with latest mechanics that help students to learn about all form of stitches.
Fashion CAD laboratory aims to enhance the student inherent creativity in fashion designing through use of latest software like Corel Draw, Photoshop, ESSDI.
Well-equipped Dyeing lab, printing lab with textile testing instruments, garment construction lab with fashion makers and overlock machines.
COMPUTER SCIENCE LAB
The Computer Lab fully equipped with Higher End System for doing a Programming and Designing works to the Students. It can maintained with separate Server for the sharing files in internally.
The Laboratory fully installed with Net beans, Visual Studio, Photoshop, Rational Rose, Python, Apache server, Corel Draw, Linux Operating System and some basic software's for doing a OOPs programming.
DIGITAL AND CYBER FORENSIC LAB
Digital and cyber forensic lab providing a facility digital evidence examine, hashing, acquisition, authentication, analyze, data carving and preservation. Cyber security is the basis of the digital equipment is which all deals in this lab. In this lab well equipped with Linux administration for doing the cyber forensic activities. The digital evidence imaging and hashing techniques are practice in this lab.
In this Lab, we have a LCD Projector for clarifying the doubts and doing demo to the students. Computers in computer labs are typically equipped with 50MBPS Internet Access.
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND MACHINE LEARNING LAB
The AI Lab is to not only understand the nature of brainpower but also engineer computer systems exhibiting some form of intelligence. In various area now the major role player is Artificial intelligence systems. Our students also practicing the in lab for learning the neural network technology for the AI Machines.
CATERING SCIENCE AND HOTEL MANAGEMENT LAB
BASIC TRAINING KITCHEN
Professionally designed fully loaded kitchen where 40 students can practice food production individually. This aesthetically crafted training lab is equipped with all modern kitchenware including multi door reach in chillers, commercial ranges, mixers, working tables etc.
BAKERY
Our bakery lab can proudly claim that its efficient enough to craft the budding bakers with appropriate skill set, its highlighting feature is a rotor oven with a capacity of baking 100 loafs of bread in one batch.
TRAINING RESTAURANT
A centrally air-conditioned training restaurant with a capacity of 44, is designed in such a way that from very basics till sophisticated modern food and beverage service procedures can be learned through practice by future professionals.
HOUSEKEEPING LAB
A well-furnished guest room, centrally air-conditioned, designed like a luxury hotel room, equipped with one king sized bed and all other amenities including sofa set, bed side tables, tea table, reading table etc.
FRONT OFFICE
Understanding the importance of front office in various industrial segments, the department set up a simulation-training lab, which is situated in well-furnished and decorated college lobby with a luxury hotel lobby ambience.
FORENSIC SCIENCE LAB
It is the first college under Bharathiar University to start undergraduate programme in Forensic Science. The Department’s primarygoal is to develop students more knowledgeable and equip them to handle real-world crime situations by acquiring advanced cognitive abilities to connect disparate components of wrong doing and offer a conclusive judgement in the criminal justice system. The three-year curriculum culminates in the awarding of a B.Sc. degree to the graduate. The students could continue on to post graduation and PhD in this area after earning their bachelor’s degree.
The programme offers educational requirements to students that adhere to industry-recognized benchmarks with in the field worldwide. Forensic science is a multidisciplinary field which deals with crime and investigation of crime based on the evidences and other relevant facts in the court of law. This programme includes various applications of the field in the criminal justice system. This programme includes crime scene management, forensic chemistry & toxicology, forensic biology, forensic serology, DNA profiling, Ballistics, Impression analysis, questioned document examination, forensic medicine and digital and cyber forensics.
