Red Ribbon is a globally recognised symbol for HIV/AIDS awareness. Establishment of Red Ribbon Clubs was an important initiative undertaken by the Government of India to spread awareness about HIV/AIDS and associated myths among the youth and empower them as per educators.
OBJECTIVES
- To create awareness among youth on health and HIV/AIDS
- To improve skills among youth on self-protection
- To educate the students to participate in the fight against HIV/AIDS
- To create awareness and promote voluntary blood donation on youth.
- To motivate youth and build their capacity and developing their skills on leadership and team building.
- To serve as forums for students to participate in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
- To promote voluntary blood donation among youth.
- To motivate youth and build their capacity as peer educators and change agents by developing their skills on leadership, negotiation, and team building
