The Department of Management Studies was started in the academic year 2008-09. It offers BBA Computer Applications, BBA Logistics and Supply Chain Management, M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes. The courses provide the students a wide range of managerial skills with team building and competency at all levels. The students are exposed to general business principles, case study & analysis and quantitative techniques. The curriculum focuses both on theoretical and analytical subjects with practical exposure on Tally, ERP, SPSS, IWD, RDBMS etc. This department makes the students have capability to manage all challenges in business. It makes them act as multi-talented people. The graduates find multiple job opportunities available to them in administration and business fields. Its focus has always been on great teaching and improving the knowledge & administrative skills of students in a leading way.
About the Programme
BBA Logistics and Supply Chain Management is a 3-year undergraduate programme that deals with activities related to planning, execution and control for smooth & consistent flow of goods. Rapid increase in retail business, manufacturing units and commerce has given rise to logistics. The programme imparts knowledge on the steps involved in movement of goods from producer to consumer. The programme also inculcates the students about distribution of materials or products amongst the vendors. The courses in the programme include global trade operations and forwarding, digital logistics, supply chain service management, warehousing & inventory management, transport & distribution management and import & export of goods. This programme is open to Science, Mathematics, Commerce and Arts students.
