It's designed to give students a strong foundation in computer applications, focusing on AR/VR principles and technologies. This unique innovative BCA AR/VR undergraduate program in Arts and Science Colleges launched for the first time in Coimbatore, offers students immersive hands-on experiences with cutting-edge AR/VR technologies through India’s first AR/VR Experience Centre in an Arts and Science Colleges at AJK College of Arts and Science Coimbatore.
BCA Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality Course (BCA AR/VR) provide graduates a competitive edge in high-demand fields, offering diverse career paths in gaming, education, healthcare, and more. The dynamic evolution of AR/VR ensures rewarding careers. In industries like healthcare, AR/VR enable immersive medical training, surgical simulations, and patient education, while also benefiting real estate with 360-degree property viewing and enhancing situational awareness across sectors. These technologies save costs, enhance situational awareness, and provide safe, realistic experiences, revolutionizing healthcare and education delivery.
An AR/VR Experience Centre provides hands-on exposure to Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) technologies. Key features include interactive demonstrations of AR/VR applications, immersive simulations, and virtual tours. The centre offers training and development through workshops and tutorials, allowing users to learn AR/VR development skills. It serves as a hub for innovation and research, exploring new applications for these technologies. Additionally, it fosters collaboration among developers, designers, and researchers, promoting creativity and innovation. Overall, the centre aims to educate, inspire, and equip individuals to effectively utilize AR and VR technologies.
Augmented Reality (AR) relies on cameras, sensors, and display devices (smartphones, tablets, smart glasses) to overlay digital content onto the real world. Key technologies include computer vision, image recognition algorithms, and AR development platforms like ARKit and ARCore. Virtual Reality (VR) uses head-mounted displays (HMDs) like Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, along with motion tracking sensors and controllers to immerse users in 3D virtual environments. Both AR and VR utilize powerful processors, GPUs for real-time rendering, 3D audio for spatial sound, and development software like Unity and Unreal Engine to create interactive and immersive experiences.
