The AJK College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore, recently hosted an enlightening Alumni Talk on Mobile Ad Hoc Networks on October 28, 2024. This event featured Mr. Adarsh, a BCA alumnus from the 2020-2023 batches and currently an IT Associate at Ambit IT Park, Chennai. The primary aim of the session was to provide students with insights into career advancements in networking and to deepen their understanding of various types of Ad Hoc networks and their protocols.

The talk was designed to achieve several educational objectives aimed at enhancing the students' understanding of the field of networking. One of the primary goals was to familiarize students with potential career paths in networking, particularly in areas such as Telecommunications and the Internet of Things (IoT). Additionally, the session aimed to provide a technical understanding of different types of Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) and introduce various routing protocols, including AODV and DSR. Furthermore, the event sought to enrich students' knowledge about the practical applications of MANETs, highlighting their relevance in scenarios such as disaster recovery and remote sensing.

The event successfully met its objectives, as evidenced by the positive feedback from participants. Students gained a clearer understanding of various career paths available in the networking domain, which opened their eyes to diverse opportunities. They also developed a solid grasp of essential networking concepts, particularly focusing on routing protocols.
