AJK College's Christmas cake Mixing Ceremony: A Celebration of Community and Culture
AJK College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore (Autonomous), an A+ accredited institution by NAAC, recently hosted a vibrant Christmas Cake Mixing Ceremony on November 8, 2024, organized by the Department of Catering Science and Hotel Management. This festive event was graced by the presence of Chef Kabildev M.S., the Executive Chef at Welcomhotel by ITC Hotels, Coimbatore, who served as the chief guest. The ceremony was a delightful gathering that brought together students, faculty, and staff, showcasing a spirit of unity and celebration.
The event began with an engaging address from Chef Kabildev, who shared insights into the culinary arts and the significance of traditions like cake mixing during the festive season. His presence added prestige to the occasion, inspiring students to explore their culinary skills further. The ceremony featured an interactive cake mixing session where participants joyfully mixed ingredients such as flour, sugar, and various dried fruits, embodying the essence of collaboration and creativity.
Prof. Dr. Ajeet Kumar Lal Mohan, Vice Chancellor Convenor Committee Member of Bharathiar University, and Secretary of AJK Group of Institutions along with Principal Dr. S. Raju ,Director Ms. Bindu Ajeet, and Executive Director Tarun Richard Ajeet, played crucial roles in organizing this event alongside the faculty members of the Department of Catering Science and Hotel Management. They emphasized the importance of such activities in fostering teamwork among students and enhancing their practical skills in hospitality management. The celebration not only marked the onset of the Christmas festivities but also served as a platform for students to apply their theoretical knowledge in a practical setting.
